What did I feel like before I was helped? What symptoms or problems was I experiencing?
Before I met Dr. Cheryl Israeloff I was in a severe car accident and suffered a TBI. It was not until about 4 months later that I sought help for my vision problems. I was experiencing constant headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, car sickness, blurry vision, double vision, delayed tracking, trouble focusing, sensitivity to light/noise, as well as trouble reading.
How do I feel now that I received my new glasses?
Since wearing my glasses I felt almost an immediate change in some of my vision problems. Although a lot of my troubles took time to resolve, Dr. Israeloff made it her mission to see that I recovered as much as possible by thorough examinations, giving me take home exercises, and making sure I was as comfortable as possible with the lenses being prescribed. It has been approximately 16 months since I began wearing my prism lenses, my double vision has improved drastically, my ability to read is almost back to being completely normal, my blurriness has diminished, headaches have decreased and car sickness greatly improved. Dr. Israeloff also referred me to Dr. Kristin Pericelli, a vestibular therapist, between the combination of the two doctors my dizziness, balance and focusing has come a long way to say the least and has given me the ability to finally drive after 14 months. Furthermore, to say that I am thankful for Dr. Israeloff is an understatement, I highly recommend this doctor to anyone experiencing these problems.
